$50 are due in order to become a member of the HBSA organization. The $50 allows one to become a member for the fall and spring semesters. $30 are due in order to become a member of the HBSA organization for only Texas A&M seniors graduating at the end of the semester. Cash or Checks, both are an acceptable payment for the HBSA dues. Prospective members planning to pay with a check may write checks out to “Hispanic Business Student Association.” Dues are to be submitted to the Treasurer of the HBSA. The HBSA membership dues pay for a HBSA polo-shirt, NHBA dues for chapter recognition, and all aspects of the HBSA socials.

Point System
The HBSA allots points to each section of the HBSA organization. The Point System will be used to determine “The HBSA Member of the Month,” while also distinguishing the most active HBSA members. Points are given to a member when the member attends general meetings, fundraisers, community service events, committee meetings, and the HBSA's socials.
General Meetings: 5 points

Community Service: 3 points

Miscellaneous(Resume, LinkedIn, company socials, professional events): 1 point
Suggestion Box
Members of the Hispanic Business Student Association are able to submit anonyms suggestions in the HBSA Suggestion Box. The suggestion box allows members to critique the HBSA organization. Members are also encouraged to submit new ideas or solutions for the HBSA organization. At the month’s end, the current HBSA officers will discuss and perhaps implement any ideas that benefit the HBSA organization.
Location:
The Suggestion Box for the HBSA organization is located in the HBSA cubicle on the first floor of the Wehner Building on the west side of the Texas A&M Campus. The HBSA cubicle is located in the room behind the set of LCD TVs in the Wehner lobby.
Committees
Members are encouraged to join one of the six committees that the HBSA internally coordinates. Committees allow members to actively be involved in the HBSA organization. Each officer is the Chair of their specific committee. The committees in the HBSA include the Fundraising committee, Professional committee, Marketing committee, Social committee, Community Service committee, and Conference committee.
Fundraising committee:
The Treasurer is the Chair of the Fundraising committee. This committee has a task that involves brainstorming, planning, and implementing fundraisers to raise money for the HBSA organization.
Professional committee:
The Vice President, External is the Chair of the Professional committee. This committee has a task that involves planning professional events including the HBSA etiquette dinner and Fortune 500 firm headquarter tours.
Marketing committee:
The Director of Social Media Relations is the Chair of the Marketing committee. This committee has a task of creating all signage and public service announcements relating to the HBSA organization and its events. The HBSA signage includes flyers and banners.
Social committee:
The Secretary is the Chair of the Social committee. This committee has a task that involves brainstorming, planning, and implementing the socials that the HBSA organization hosts for its members.
Community Service committee:
The Vice President, Internal is the Chair of the Community Service committee. This committee has the task of planning all of the community service events the HBSA organization takes part in. This committee also has the privilege to exclusively help the Vice President, Internal plan and implement the HBSA organization’s premiere event, “Caliente.”
Conference committee:
The NHBA Representative is the Chair of the Conference committee. This committee has the task to plan for the 20th Annual National Hispanic Business Association’s Leadership Conference that the Texas A&M HBSA organization is hosting in Fort Worth, Texas.
Socials
The Texas A&M HBSA establishes and creates lasting relationships. The organization encourages members to study together and hang out outside of school. The HBSA has monthly socials for members in order to have members excel from acquaintances to friends.
